Helsinki

Back in 2012, when I had just moved to Helsinki and didn’t know the city well, I wanted to explore and understand it better. To do so, I started the Helsinki365 project, photographing and publishing a new image of Helsinki every day for a year. The project coincided with Helsinki’s year as World Design Capital 2012 and quickly gained millions of views and thousands of media and blog mentions, helping introduce the city to a global audience.

Due to its success, we continued the project in 2014, once again collaborating with the City of Helsinki’s marketing team. We relaunched the year-long initiative, and once more, I released a new photo every day.

In 2017, as the design agency Werklig led a major rebranding of the city, I worked alongside producer Hanna Kaikula to help shape Helsinki’s new visual identity. We developed the city's new photo and video guidelines, and I also shot key brand images and videos that reflected Helsinki’s new direction.

Over the past decade, I’ve had the privilege of contributing to the city’s evolving visual identity and witnessing its transformation firsthand.
